Since 1995 Claude Schmitz engaged in several solo and group shows, in Luxemburgo and abroad, having represented Luxembourg in 2002 at the FIDEM exhibition (Fédération Internationale de la Médaille) in Paris. His work is represented at Reverso Gallery since 2002 where in 2003 he made a solo exhibition (Nov.).
In 2000 Claude Schmitz was awarded two “First Prizes” from the Royal Mint Medal Competition (GB), and in 1999, at “3-dimensional ‘Form-giving” by the Rotary Club Voorkempen-Antwerpen (B). He is represented in the following public collections: British Museum, London; Musée National d’Histoire et d’Art, Luxembourg (L); the Royal College of Art, London and Royal Mint (GB).
