I am an artist working in the field of art jewellery and I am based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
I use various techniques and materials to explore the conceptual overlap between jewellery and objects of everyday life. I look at how domestic objects relate to the individual and the body. The history of those objects as well as classical topics of art and jewellery history serve as a main source of inspiration, while I always translate those elements to my own contemporary context. – Gesine Hackenberg
