Mirjam Hiller is a jewellery artist living in Potsdam, Germany. After studying jewellery and everyday objects in Pforzheim, Germany, and Halifax, Canada, she moved into her studio in Potsdam in 2008. Ever since, she creates handmade jewellery pieces of bright colors. She laboriously saws complex forms out of sheets of color-coated stainless steel and then folds them up into opulently shaped objects, which call the remembrance of plants or organisms. Due to the slow working process, she eludes the maelstrom of today’s frantic pace and escapes the restlessness. The resulting intensity is captured within her jewellery, which is represented by galleries around the world and is part of private and public collections.
