Dimitar Delchev was born in 1949 in Bulgaria. He studied art collage in Sofia. In 1975 he graduated the Budapest University of Applied arts – glass design. Ever since he a well known established jewelry designer in his country and abroad. He is a professor in the National Academy of Arts in Sofia/Bulgaria.
Dimitar Delchev works in the field of contemporary jewelry using both precious metals and stones and many alternative materials like silicons, rubber, plastics, black metals and more. He is inspired by the architecture and sculpture, forms and found objects of the Nature.
Dimitar Delchev travels a lot visiting many different destinations of the world in search of new creative perspectives thus broadening his views and ideas. He has many participations in dozens individual and general exhibitions worldwide.
